Your Documents Are Safe
Simply PDF Tools is designed for temporary, secure document processing and honest expectations about how a public file-processing workflow should be used.
HTTPS Uploads
Files are sent through encrypted HTTPS connections while you use the tools.
Temporary Processing
Files are used only to complete the action you choose, such as convert, merge, or compress.
Automatic Cleanup
Uploaded and generated files are automatically deleted after a short period.
What the processing lifecycle looks like
Upload over HTTPS
Files are sent through encrypted HTTPS requests when you choose a tool and start a task.
Temporary processing
The uploaded file is used only for the selected action, such as convert, merge, compress, crop, or sign.
Short-lived download result
The processed result is made available for download rather than stored as a permanent user library.
Automatic cleanup
Uploaded and generated files expire automatically, usually within about 30 minutes, so the public site does not hold them longer than needed.
What this page does and does not promise
This page explains the design of the public workflow: encrypted transfer, task-based processing, temporary download links, and automatic cleanup. It does not mean that every document belongs on a public website simply because it can be uploaded.
If your organization has internal-only, legal-hold, regulated, or highly confidential document rules, follow those rules first. Public online tools are best for documents you are allowed to process through a third-party web service.
The goal is to make the site transparent, not to encourage careless handling of sensitive files.
Practical guidance before you upload
- Upload only files you are allowed to process.
- Avoid using public online tools for documents your company or regulator requires you to keep fully internal.
- Review the downloaded result before sharing it, especially if a PDF was compressed or converted into an editable format.
- Keep your own original working copy until you confirm the processed file is correct.
